Waarom een review van mij?
Al jaren geef ik feedback op straatfoto's van deelnemers aan mijn workshops en leden van mijn Straatfotoclub. Ook ben ik vijf keer jurylid geweest van de Urban Photo Race. Die ervaring, gecombineerd met mijn ruim vijftien jaar aan eigen straatfotografie-ervaring, maakt dat ik precies weet welke hobbels en drempels jij tegenkomt. Ik heb ze zelf overwonnen en help jou daar graag bij!
Mijn aanpak is altijd constructief en opbouwend. Ik bekijk jouw werk en let op de volgende aspecten:
Het verhaal: wat vertelt de foto? Welke stemming of welk gevoel roept hij op?
Technische aspecten: hoe zit het met compositie, scherpte, scherptediepte en het gekozen standpunt?
Esthetiek: is er balans, gelaagdheid en klopt de nabewerking?
Op basis van deze grondige observaties bespreken we de sterke en minder sterke punten van jouw straatfoto's. Natuurlijk geef ik je ook concrete tips hoe je de foto's nog verder kunt verbeteren.
Verdiep je in je proces en werk aan je vaardigheden
Naast de individuele foto's, kunnen we ook jouw hele straatfotografieproces onder de loep nemen. Waar loop je tegenaan? Wat vind je lastig en wat gaat je juist gemakkelijk af? Ik geef je praktische tips waar je direct mee aan de slag kunt.
Wil je écht gericht werken aan je ontwikkeling? Dan geef ik je specifieke opdrachten mee. In een optionele vervolgsessie kunnen we dan jouw vorderingen bespreken.
Alle sessies vinden plaats via online Zoom. De hele sessie wordt opgenomen en je ontvangt het MP4-bestand, zodat je alles onbeperkt kunt terugkijken wanneer het jou uitkomt. Wel zo handig!
Praktische details
Prijs: €95,- voor een online Zoom-sessie van 60 minuten.
Aantal foto's: we bespreken 10-15 straatfoto's per sessie.
Voorbereiding: jij stuurt je foto's minimaal een week van tevoren op, en ik bereid de feedback zorgvuldig voor. Dit is inbegrepen in de prijs.
Taal: De review is mogelijk in het Nederlands en Engels.

Wie is Fokko Muller?
Ik ben een ervaren en gepassioneerd straatfotograaf die zich richt op het vastleggen van alledaagse momenten met een scherpe en creatieve blik. Al meer dan 12 jaar inspireer ik beginnende en gevorderde fotografen via workshops, portfolio reviews, lezingen en online trainingen. Mijn werkwijze is gericht op het vergroten van zelfvertrouwen, het ontwikkelen van een scherp observatievermogen en het maken van visueel sterke en betekenisvolle beelden op straat. Ik leer je ook plezier te hebben op straat.
Ik ben de oprichter van de Straatfotoclub, een platform voor en door straatfotografen, en ambassadeur/columnist bij DIGIFOTO Pro. Daarnaast ben ik ambassadeur van OM SYSTEM / Olympus.
Straatfotografie is mijn passie sinds 2010. Ik loop graag over straat en ik geniet van het kijken en luisteren naar alle mooie mensen die er rondlopen. Ik maak graag foto's van hen en laat hun emoties zien.

Why get a review from me?
For many years, I've been providing feedback on street photos from participants in my workshops and members of my Street Photo Club. I've also had the honor of being a judge for the Urban Photo Race five times. This extensive experience, combined with over fifteen years of my own street photography practice, means I know exactly which hurdles and challenges you might face. I've overcome them myself and I'm happy to help you do the same!
My approach is always constructive and supportive. I look into your work and focus on the following aspects:
The Story: what does the photo tell? What mood or feeling does it evoke?
Technical Aspects: how are the composition, sharpness, depth of field, and the photographer's chosen point of view?
Aesthetics: is there balance, layering and is the post-processing correct?
Based on these thorough observations, we'll discuss the strengths and weaker points of your street photos. Of course, I'll also give you concrete tips on how to further improve your images.
Delve into your process and work on your skills
In addition to the individual photos, we can also examine your entire street photography process. What are you struggling with? What do you find difficult, and what comes easily to you? I'll provide practical tips you can immediately put into practice.
If you're truly dedicated to your development, I can give you specific assignments. In an optional follow-up session, we can then review your progress.
All sessions take place via online Zoom. The entire session is recorded, and you will receive the MP4 file, so that you can watch everything back unlimitedly whenever it suits you. Very convenient!
Practical Details
Price: €95,- for a 60-minute online Zoom session.
Number of Photos: we'll discuss 10-15 street photos per session.
Preparation: you'll send your photos to me at least one week in advance, and I carefully prepare the feedback. This preparation is included in the price.
Language: The review is possible in Dutch and English.
